One Million Goal

One Million Goal campaign arranged at Central University of Kerala. 

     As a part of the Under 17 FIFA world cup campaign, Kerala State Sports Council and Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs Govt of Kerala in association with District Sports Council, Education department, LSGD is organising this mega event namely "ONE MILLION GOAL". Celebrate the FIFA under 17 world cup by organizing this state wide campaign titled “ONE MILLION GOAL”. This event aims to score 1 million goals, simultaneously across the entire state of Kerala within a time span of 4 hours between 3 PM to 7 PM. Central University of Kerala organized one million goal campaign nearby multipurpose hall. Teachers, Non-Teaching staff and students of CUK participated in the campaign.

National Acadmic Depository

    National Academic Depository (NAD) is an initiative of Government of India, facilitated by MHRD. NAD is a national database set up to hold academic awards issued by Academic Institutions (AI) in an electronic form.

SYSTAT

     SYSTAT is a statistics and statistical graphics software package, which is more useful for the research community. University Library, Central University of Kerala organized one Demo on SYSTAT for the teaching and research community of CUK on 21.09.2017. One representative came from the concerned company to present the benefits of the software to academic community of CUK.

Plagiarism

    Plagiarism is copying another person's ideas, words or writing and pretending that they are one's own work. It is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work. Plagiarism detection is the process of locating instances of plagiarism within a work or document.

    URKUND is an automated system for checking Plagiarism. In short, the students send their documents to their teachers by e-mail. The documents are checked against three central source areas: Internet, published material and student material. If any document displays similarities with the content in the three sources, the system will flag it for possible plagiarism. An analysis overview is generated and sent by e-mail to the teacher concerned.
